Finding beauty in the ordinary (extraordinary)

I have been wanting to post this and many other subjects for quite a while... but as I said before "it's a crazy life" I'm living right now. My plans, dreams, hobbies, etc. seem to be put on hold more and more these days; especially these last few days, as I am currently potty training our 2 year old. If you've ever experienced this part of parenting then you will understand why I don't have time for anything else! But, I am determined to sneak this little bit of time in for myself!
So, back to this post... "Finding beauty in the ordinary (extraordinary)". The other morning (well it's probably been 2 weeks now) I was enjoying breakfast with 2 of my favorite guys... Ryley & Brayden when I realized that the daffodil bulbs I had placed in a vase in the middle of the table had bloomed. As I sat looking at those beautiful flowers and drinking my coffee (waking up), I noticed every detail in those ordinary (extraordinary) flowers. Never had I looked so closely to daffodils before... they truly are remarkable. I thought, "How could anyone deny God and all his extraordinary creations?"

After admiring them for a while, I got out my camera and started snapping away!!! And boy did I take pictures... I had so many to choose from it was nearly impossible to pick my favorites.

I had so many beautiful pictures of the flowers to choose from but I have to admit this one is my FAVORITE. I'm sure you can guess why! He smelled these flowers so much I thought he would end up with allergic reactions from the pollen!

I call these flowers ordinary because on this morning I realized just how much I was taking them for granted. So many things in this life I take for granted!

I tried to capture all the details in these wonderful creations. From the stamen to the stem. I am just in awe at God and his works!

Seriously, who else could have done this?

I enjoyed playing around with my camera and working with the contrast and saturation on these photos. They were such a gorgeous, bright yellow. Nothin' pale about these and so I really didn't want my photos to render pale at all!

Now, as I've stated before, I'm a student to this art form and will forever be. So of course I'm going to run into times where I just don't understand why some things happen in photography. This photo is a good example... I don't know why this photo has blue in it. I did play a little with the contrast but not very much... basically this photo IS how I took it. Where the blue comes from I don't know... I don't have any blue in the kitchen. Someday I will learn as to why this happens... as for now, I just think it's beautiful!

I'm so thankful to God for all his extraordinary creations and that on this one morning, my eyes were opened, even if just slightly, to see more of Him in the ordinary.
